Journal’s aims & scope: Trabalhos de Antropologia e Etnologia (TAE) is a digital periodical published by the Portuguese Society of Anthropology and Ethnology, dedicated to promoting scientific culture in the fields of anthropology and the social and human sciences in general. It aims to be a space for study, reflection and dissemination geared towards the following fundamental objectives: 1 -To contribute to a more dynamic scientific community in the social sciences and humanities (in its broadest sense), in terms of the production and dissemination of knowledge, the constant broadening and comparison of perspectives, and the encouragement of new authors; 2- To establish points of contact between Anthropology and other disciplinary areas, including Philosophy, from a broad and critical perspective, attentive to the complexity of human behavior and the meanings, present and past, of living in society, as they have been, and are constantly being, debated by the best authors. TAE accepts unpublished works by national or foreign authors in Portuguese, Spanish, French, English and Italian, and may also include duly authorized translations of texts by foreign colleagues considered to be of exceptional importance.
The TAE online digital journal aims to pursue the idea of a periodical publication that reflects aspects of empirical research, theoretical reflection and inter- and transdisciplinary visions that contribute to a better understanding of the different aspects of human beings and societies in a rigorous and critical way.
